New client site goes live: TheCarmelSchool.org
Watching the birth of your baby is one of life's great events, and witnessing the launch of a client's website is perhaps a similar experience....although with less blood and grunting, usually.
We recently launched, and then re-launched, one of our client's websites. The Carmel School at Ruther Glen (http://thecarmelschool.org) was originally launched in March, 2010 using the school's former name (Carmel Christian Academy), but shortly thereafter, the school was renamed and the site updated to reflect the new brand.
TheCarmelSchool.org is an example of one of our basic school sites featuring easily updated content pages, news and blogs, photo galleries, and event listings and calendars.
Because the school uses Google Docs internally, they wanted to incorporate their Google Calendar into the website, a feat that was accomplished easily using our advanced Drupal-based content managment system.
The photo galleries are password protected so only school families that register with the school for a username and password can access photos of the children and school activities, an important safeguard for school's interested in protecting the privacy of their students and families.
The site is simple, straightforward, and easy to update, yet it has a number of powerful features built in, and as the school grows (more athletic teams, more student organizations, more content) the site will be able to grow with their needs.
School administrators have received much positive feedback from their parents and staff about the new site and they are excited to have this new communications tool at their disposal.
Congratulations to TheCarmelSchool.org and best wishes for growing enrollment in the future!
