About Us
Bluestone Thompson Multimedia is a boutique marketing & public relations firm, headquartered in the village of Fork Union in Fluvanna County, Virginia, that specializes in web development, online marketing, and content management systems for schools, churches, non-profits, and businesses.
Bluestone Thompson Multimedia was founded in 2001 by Dan Thompson, a veteran of more than twenty years in the marketing, film production, and public relations business. Dan is a recognized expert in web development, social media marketing, video and film production, online and email marketing, traditional advertising (print, radio, television), and public relations.

While head of Product Development & Marketing with Edge Training Systems, Inc. (the company he co-founded in 1995 and left in 2001) Dan Thompson built a strong reputation in the corporate training industry for writing and directing cutting-edge films of high quality and effectiveness. His best-selling videos produced for Edge include With All Due Respect, On The Edge: Preventing Violence in the Workplace, and Different Like You - all used in employee training by a significant number of Fortune 500 companies. He also designed and built web-based assessment applications and 360-degree survey systems used by clients ranging from Kraft Foods to Amazon.com.
Since 2004, Dan has served as the Director of Communications for Fork Union Military Academy, a premier boys boarding school. For FUMA, Dan has created and managed the school's Web site; written, edited, and published the award-winning alumni magazine Call To Quarters; served as the Academy's principal photographer; and designed and managed the school's marketing and advertising programs.
Dan also served as the producer of the long-running sports radio shows "Shuman Says" and "In The Paint" on the Academy Radio Network, carried by more than a dozen radio affiliates throughout Virginia, West Virginia, and North Carolina.
He now serves as producer of "The Passing Game" -- an hour-long show with basketball legend Coach Fletcher Arritt, and co-host Brooks Berry. The show airs weekly on several radio affiliates in central Virginia and the Tidewater area and past shows are archived at http://www.thepassinggame.com.
Dan actually began his work career as the only criminal investigator in a rural Virginia sheriff's office. Following his seven-year career in law enforcement, Dan moved into the corporate film and marketing field full time and left the chasing of criminals to others.
